The first Post Board Game weekend in Iran
As I suggested a game design competition with the concept of postal industry and with the aim of expressing the impact of the post on human life on the World Post Day, the game designers and creative people were invited to create a game with the concept of the post at the national and global levels.
In this contest, designers were urged to pay special attention to the concepts of postal industry and to present a good story for Iranians to become more familiar with “the post” as their ancient heritage and the concepts of its modern use in everyday life.
The event of the introduction of the top games (15 games from 100) was on May 13th and it held in the T-hub (the most modern hub of the country) with the presence of guests and a group of experts and activists of the board game and entertainment industry. Top 3 games were also selected during this event.
The first prize was awarded to the “Royal Road”. Darius built the road to facilitate rapid communication throughout his very large empire from Susa to Sardis in the Achaemenid empire, and Chapars (ancient postmen) could exchange messages as quickly as possible using this road. This game is all about the historical real story of Post in old Iran. The game was designed by Sadeq Rezania, Habibollah Heidarian, Zainab Rezania, Mohammad Bagher Rezania, and Asma Safizadeh.
The second prize went to Mr. Amir Ardeshiri Lordajani, who designed the game “The letter will reach …”.
The third prize was awarded to the T-Bar game design team. The T-Bar is designed by Yousef Haji Mohammadzadeh, Atena Farazandeh, Dariush Habibpour, Alireza Rafieijou, and Mohaddesh Talebi. The members of the team are all employees of “Khooger” which is one of the most successful brands in Fakher holding.
